🐾 Team Pickles Cani Group – Inclusive Canicross Running With Your Dog Team Pickles Cani Group welcomes dog owners of all abilities to run, train and enjoy outdoor exercise with their canine companions. Canicross (running with your dog on a harness and line) is growing in popularity across the UK, and this group creates a supportive, friendly environment for you both to get involved. 👟 About the Coach The sessions are led by Jack, a DogFit-qualified coach and a UK Athletics licensed coach. Jack holds a degree in Physical Education and specialises in supporting runners with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) — ensuring all participants are supported safely at their own pace. His coaching approach is inclusive, knowledgeable and encouraging, whether you’re new to running or chasing a personal best. 📋 Session and Group Ethos Pickles Cani Run Club is designed to help humans and dogs build confidence, fitness and connection through regular sessions — from beginner friendly walk/run activities to more structured runs with coaching support. All dogs and owners are welcomed, regardless of breed, size, or experience level. 📌 Ground Rules (You Agree to These When Booking) For Dogs 🐶 No collar running — all dogs must run in a harness with the lead attached. 🐾 You must control your dog at all times (noise and excitement are expected!). 🩺 You are responsible for your dog’s wellbeing — monitor their health and take breaks as needed. 💩 You must bring and use your own poo bags — always pick up after your dog. 🦺 Dogs that are aggressive must wear a suitable Baskerville-style muzzle; no mesh muzzles allowed. 👀 Check all equipment before every session, including harness fit — arrive early if you want help checking it. For Humans 7. 👟 Wear appropriate activewear and suitable footwear for running. 8. 🧍 Respect space — slow down or stop if needed to give others room. 9. 🏃♂️ You run at your own risk — both you and your dog are your own responsibility. 10. 📏 Be responsible — sessions are for your enjoyment and safety, but also yours to manage. 👕 Equipment & Clothing For Dogs Canicross or dog running harness (no collar running). Lead attached to the harness at all times. Poo bags (compulsory). For Humans Comfortable active clothing suitable for running outdoors. Proper running or trail shoes for safety and comfort. Cancellation Policy
1. No Collar running, all dogs MUST run with a harness, with the leash attached. 2. You must be able to control your own dog. (don't worry about noise were quite used to the noisy ones!) 3. You agree that you are responsible for yourself and your dog at all times, and run at your own risk. 4. You will monitor your own dogs health and take breaks if needed during the session to ensure their wellbeing at all times! 5. You must run with your own poo bags and pick up dog poo at all times 6. You will repeat the space of other runners and dogs at all times during sessions and slow down and/or stop if needed to allow another runner space. 7. Wear suitable attire for sessions (see below for more details). 8. If your dog is aggressive please wear a suitable Baskerville muzzle, No mesh muzzles will be approved for running. 9. All Runners and their dogs will run at their own risk, and be responsible for themselves and their pet. 10. Please check all equipment prior to EVERY session. If you need your harness fitting checking please allow time prior for the team to check. Suitable Clothing and equipment: Dogs must on a lead at all times during the session, that is attached to a harness, No collar running will be permitted. Poo Bags are compulsory. Humans must be in appropriate active wear and suitable footwear.
