Let’s be honest…Every day is National Dog Day in this house.

But since the calendar says today is officially about them, we thought we’d put together a very important, highly scientific guide on how to celebrate properly.

🐾 Step 1: Tell Them They’re a Good Dog (At Least 47 Times)

Even if they:

  • Stole your sock

  • Ignored your recall

  • Barked at absolutely nothing

They are still. A good. Dog.

This is non-negotiable.

šŸ– Step 2: Make Mealtime Extra Special

Whatever your dog usually eats, today’s the day to make it feel like a feast.

You could:

  • Add a tasty topper

  • Mix in something fresh

  • Try a new texture or flavour

  • Or simply serve it like the five-star dining experience they believe it is

Because for them, mealtime is the highlight of the day…and we fully support making it a little more exciting a few times a year!

šŸ• Step 3: Let Them Do Their Favourite Thing

Whether that’s:

  • Running full speed like a lunatic

  • Sniffing the same patch of grass for 12 minutes

  • Or dramatically sighing on the sofa

Today, they’re in charge.

You’re just the assistant.

šŸ›ļø Step 4: Accept That Your House Is Actually Their House

Their bed? Your bed.Their sofa? Definitely their sofa.Your personal space? Gone.

Resistance is futile.

ā¤ļø Step 5: Remember Why It Matters

Behind all the chaos, muddy paws, and questionable life choices…they’re family.

They trust you with everything:

  • Their health

  • Their happiness

  • Their whole world

And that’s why what you feed them, how you care for them, and the life you give them matters more than anything.
